The amount of education any of the supervisors have had in management skills is slim to none and many of them come into the position with no prior experience. When you finally do see a supervisor all they do is bring you down and either waste your time with redundancies or yell at you. They have supervisors dating their direct managers which is ridiculously inappropriate and created numerous problems. Usually we don't see one and if we do we have to track them down and they act irritated to help us. They act like everyone is replaceable which is a very outdated management style and being that they've never been fully staffed in the 4 years I've worked there you think they'd start realizing that they might be the problem. The problem is the people that work there especially the supervisors and managers. I am only speaking from my experience in the food and beverage department as a cocktail server. I have received three job offers this month since leaving from people I met at the casino who knew I left. I cared about the people that come to the casino, knew almost everyone, and had great relationships with so many guests that I will stay in contact with for life. I was an employee fully committed to excellent guest service.
The guests and the job itself are awesome. It's very unfortunate that they allow supervisors and management to treat staff the way that they do.
